I was pleased...

...when I saw the wee fella bring out the chess board. A change from electronic pass times. He even persuaded his oldest brother to come off the Xbox for a couple of games.

They are the two who attended the chess club at primary school. The set they are using is the set their Aunty Gill and I used when we attended chess club at the same school.

I love that wee chess set. Small, compact with lovely wee wooden pieces. They are well warned to take care of it.

Grateful for nice wee possessions that are satisfying to use and bring back fond memories.
