BESIEGED

Now that I've got all my old photos down from the loft, this will probably be my rainy-day go-to source for Blips. (I've already got some more lined up.)

Here's Olive, my late mother-in-law, surrounded by our four cats. She loved them all and constantly encouraged them in bad habits during the 10 years she lived with us in our previous house in Woking. This photo would have been taken mid-1990s, before her sole sustenance became restricted to Martini Bianco, potato waffles, custard tarts and B&H Gold on which she survived until she was 85, convinced until the end that we were plotting to put her in the workhouse!
