Dias de los Muertos skulls

The first Good Friday off in an age. Unfortunately the weather is not playing ball, and it pretty bad. My partner wants to visit the Scrap Store in Granton for a rummage for some stuff to craft with. Stepping off the bus I'm glad I have my nice warm coat on. There's a persistent light rain just to add in to the mix. My partner looks around the Scrap Store. I find some boards, which appear to be the centre parts of cardboard, remnants from cardboard used in picture frames. 5p each a bargain, so she buys 20 for notebook making. My partner also buys some paper with marble print.

After a successful rummage, we get the bus to Ocean Terminal for lunch. And after lunch, we wander around Ocean Terminal. There are big windows, but the weather is too murky, and the windows too dirty, to capture anything.

On the first floor, there are some angel wings, where you can make yourself in to an angel, there are also smaller wings for the little angels as well. Unless you are prepared to stand next to them not worth photographing. Next to them are these Dias de los muertos skulls, which are more interesting to photograph.

Ocean Terminal has a couple shops that sell proper Scottish craft stuff. These are a lot more original as a souvenir of Scotland than anything the tartan tat shops offer.

What was the ground floor of BHS is now the transgression skate park. Amusing to watch kids zoom around on scooters. One of the kids bangs a knee in a very sore way but in a few minutes they are successfully walking.

Not a bad day in the end. Not a day for the living to be outside. At least its just one bus home.
