In his element

Wow - did we have a lie-in today - 8am!   Only achieved by giving the eldest a phone to watch tractors on for longer than I will ever admit, but it meant the rest of us got to sleep longer (the youngest is not a fan of waking up in the morning).  It has meant that our day has been all askew and of course the great long list of 'things to do' is still pretty long. 

The eldest was in his element this afternoon washing two cars, he got utterly drenched and was quite a fan of wielding the hosepipe about.  I think he spent about 2 hours out there, totally drenched and must have been freezing cold.  I retired inside with the youngest for hot chocolate and a bath, with the eldest following suit. 

Lovely bank holiday weekend.  I think we're all a bit sad to be back to the normal routine tomorrow.
