Wet blossoms
It has rained for most of the day - wet and drippy and grey, a typical bank holiday. I was determined to find some blossom today to photograph, and I found these near our old house - I thought that looked pretty despite the poor light and rain.
Poor Luke is starting to realise what an encumbrance his injury is, and today he started having doubts about being able to go back to work in Berlin while he is hobbling around on crutches. As he cannot put any weight on his injured leg for about 4-6 weeks, mainly due to the ruptured meniscus, he has to rely on walking slowly using crutches for support. Today he realised he cannot even carry a cup of coffee whilst using crutches let alone go shopping for groceries or do anything around the house. The long weekend has been a hindrance to making any plans, he needs to crack on with physio and we have not even found a physio here yet as everything was closed over the weekend. Tomorrow we will hopefully see some progress as I will try to find a physio and an orthopaedic surgeon for him (for his checkups) and once he has had some more physio we can decide what he should do. At this stage we are thinking he may have to stay home until the end of this month until he can get around more easily. He is getting bored stiff already and just wants to go back to work! He also is feeling so frustrated at not being able to do any exercise but I am sure after a few physio sessions he will be told what he can start doing, if anything at all. At the moment he is still very tired and his leg is very bruised and swollen.
Adam returns again tonight, with Jenni, and so it will be a full house again (meaning constant cooking and eating of meals!) Ah well, it is not often they are all home so we are looking forward to it.
