Over the bridge to Skye

The song 'Over the Sea to Skye' seems out of date nowadays, although it is still possible to take a ferry.   However, we crossed by the bridge today.

Before the bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh we had a wee break at Eilean Donan Castle, which is featured in many Scottish calendars, and of course had to take a photograph, like many others.  And had a coffee in the wee café too!

Scotland seems very busy just now, we spoke to some people from Brazil, and also some Canadians, and everyone was enjoying the fantastic sunny weather, and quite warm in sheltered areas.

We had some time in Portree, the main town on Skye, and the HG and I walked up the hill a bit to get a shot of the harbour with the coloured cottages, always nice to see.

And back in the hotel another ceilidh!
