This happy couple...

...are my maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Allan (Marshall and Nan) over from Kirkcaldy to visit us in Edinburgh in the early 60s, I think.

On Thursday, their daughter, my mum, is 90.

Time - it's passing - really puzzles me, and i suspect photography might be in part the cause.

PS Any Kirkcaldy blippers of a more-than-certain age may have a faint memory of Allan's Fish Restaurant near Volunteers Green.
