Death in Venice

Not quite but we did feel like we were about to be squashed in the crowds!
La Serenissima was still as beautiful as I remembered it during our last visit about 25 years ago but so many more tourists!
We escaped to Burano but that was also really busy.
Only after dusk did the city start to come back to life. Next time visiting in November or January.
On the plus side I remembered the 2 euros gondola ride across the Grand Canal, so Mr P experienced his first ever gondola ride!
