Nosework!

Since we successfully completed our nosework scent test in January, and I won my first rosette, we have, to be perfectly honest, not done a lot of nosework training. This is partly because the eucalyptus scent (that mum buys online in small brown bottles) has gone bad. But new ones arrived in the mail the other day, so we brought this magnetic container - scented - with us on our eleven o’clock walkie.

Not just any old walk, either. We went to the dog club, and from there, we walked to the small bird lake with water on either side of the path. Only, there was still a thick layer of ice and snow there, and no spring in sight. Then we went through the lovely forest that has lots and lots of jumping rocks! Yay! Mum kept looking over her shoulder, because there were fresh wild boar diggings all over the place. We didn’t see any boars, thankfully. Nocturnal, apparently.

And - nosework! Mum fit it in several times during the walk, ending with a vehicle search on an old tractor at the dog club. I earned myself heaps of treats today!
