Weather Changes

After days of high pressure weather with bright sun, little wind, and blue sky, it's about to change. Tomorrow we are promised snow and rain, which made us determined to get out today, so it was down to the lake for some x-country skiing. The sun was very warm and we were soon skiing along with no gloves, hat or jacket.  We made our way across the lake to the same snow bench as a couple of days ago, and had coffee and a snack as the sun beamed down on us.  After a while a haze started to appear in the sky. It thickened until there was this fine halo around the sun. Then it thickened a little more, stealing the heat from the sun, and we decided it was time to head home. By the time we got home 45 minutes later there was a very grey sky announcing that that tomorrow's warm front was on its way and the first high level outliers had already arrived.
