A notable time in that I was still at work and Will was still in his pyjama onesie. He managed to drag himself away from the Xbox and make a cake though. All previous cakes have been made with some level of oversight and supervision - he was completely on his own in the house this time and did a marvellous job of making a cake and the usual crap job of clearing up after himself.

Before that Marc came and made Daisy’s bedroom floor look gorgeous much to Joe’s fury. He spent the day sulking under my bed.

And after I went to meet the lovely ex-boss and ex-colleague who has just retired after many years planning and is now off to live in the fancy house in Ghana that he built. I felt somewhat left out by never having considered getting myself a retirement fund. I would like to think I’m too young but I have a suspicion people who retire in their 50s may well have done some planning when they were my age. Ho hum. I had a nice pizza with spinach, an egg and anchovies.
