BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER TYNE AT WYLAM

The Hagg Bank Bridge (known locally as the Points Bridge) is an early example of an arch suspension bridge and was built in 1876 .
It cost £16,000 to build and Tyne Bridge (1928) in Newcastle and the Sydney Harbour Bridge (1932) in Australia are also both examples of arch suspension bridges.
