Whensday

I think the idea of people blipping old photos on a Wednesday under the title “Whensday” is a brilliant idea from clever Cailleach.
I’ve chosen a photo of Amber. The original was taken about ten years ago but I took this photo of it today.
We took in Amber and her daughter Holly when they were 5 and 2 and they lived to be 14 and 13, good ages for boxers.
And what a pair they were. We had so many great times with them.
Amber had a really tough looking face but she was a darling and the most empathetic dog I’ve ever met. She could really pick up if someone was feeling a bit down and tried to cheer them up.
When she was about ten, she developed pancreatitis and had to have a special diet. She lost a lot of weight, so much so that one little boy asked us why we didn’t feed our dog!
We were heartbroken when she was “ put to sleep”
I bought a new sling for my arm. I didn’t think a broken collarbone would be so painful but then again, I’m a bit of a wimp!
Yesterday, we went for coffee to a friend and she said to my wife, “ Does Charlie take sugar?”
We had a good laugh when she realised what she had said!
Sorry for the long blip but I’ve a lot of time on my hands just now!!
It just has to be this great track today.
