A RECORD & LET THE GAMES BEGIN......

... ha ha, not a good shot in terms of sharpness/focus but but a quick late afternoon visit to the dam on the way home, found an appropriate amount of action.

Today marks the Opening of the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast of Queensland.

Aside this shot being a sort of record for me of the most number of birds in flight, it suited the Games theme.

Whilst all this action going on this Spoonbill and a couple of ducks looked on.

And in another part of the lake behind me the coots were on the run!!

Let the Games be a good one in all ways for all concerned.
