Chiffchaff

After a few chores I thought I'd go and look to see if I could find an active badger set and am almost certain I have, but it will entail an evening excursion when it gets warmer.

Due to the sad loss of life of the Red Arrows engineer and injury caused to the pilot, our friends' son-in-law has been recalled to fly as Red 3 with the formation team this summer.  For the past two years he's been known as Red 10, the choreographer and commentator but had recently withdrawn from the team ahead of his discharge later in the year.  It will be an anxious few months for the family.

Spotted this little bird in the brambles this morning and at first thought it was a Willow Warbler, but research has confirmed it's a Chiffchaff due to the black legs and short primary feathers.  The picture is very heavily cropped.
