Easterlies
Quite a contrast to yesterday, bitter easterly winds meant quite a chop in Mortimer's Deep, and the gnomes got quite a shower at high tide.
Here are R and A waiting to tie up the Forth Belle when it arrives. The wee crane was for unloading shells from ammo ships at the high jetty, there is a tiny rail track that took them up to the guns at the top of the island.
It looked like it might be a bit dodgy to get home, but happily the wind dropped a bit, and the crew boat made it in.
Nice to see Meles again, even though it had only been one night on the island :)
