Bright Young Things

I spent the morning attending to some admin things - a few more phone calls this morning to sort out the medical insurance and to book a post-surgery appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon and more physio.

I then took Luke to Kingston to the Apple store regarding the problem with his phone. Yesterday it stopped working, the screen was black as if it was powered off yet Siri was working and he could hear texts pinging in but not see them. Overnight it seemed to come right again but we thought it was worth checking if the phone was faulty. We got absolutely useless service from the staff member there, he implied that Luke does not know how to power his phone on or off (really?) and that there was nothing wrong with his phone. We walked very slowly to get to the shops and it was good for Luke to get out a bit - I also took him for a coffee.

I had this idea of doing a posed tableau of the young people today, but it ended up being a quick photo outside and then back inside to get out of the rain - ideally they should have all dressed up in something a bit eccentric, but perhaps we can do that at another time when they are not working and have to get dragged away from their studies. Luke has no studies but has a a long essay to write and he is busy translating the very technical medical report from German into English for his appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon next week.

And if the forecast is correct, tomorrow should be mild weather with some sunshine - at last!
