Wildflowers!

The friend I am staying with is a Master Gardener and she volunteers at a community garden (Harvest for the Hungry) on Wednesdays so that where we went this morning for 3 hours. We up-potted lettuces and tomatoes, and we harvested some swiss chard (orange, red, and white). So colorful.

After a nice lunch sitting in the sun on the patio, we headed to a nearby regional park for hike. The wildflowers are blooming - lupine, red larkspur, baby blue-eyes, and several others. This one in the picture is a wild iris in a lovely shade of periwinkle. Grass is so green, you almost need a new word to describe it.
