A Good Meeting
I introduced myself to the world this morning with a short walk along the pathway up the hill- to meet the sun rising above the city.
It's a day of meetings and I loathe these more than ever I did during my working life. So much air expelled ... so many words to be forged, assembled and uttered so often a profound dissatisfaction with your ability to help things move forward. A recent reading of Antonia Fraser's "Cromwell- our chief of men" brought a profound admiration for a man who was prepared to spend so much of his life in committees attempting to move the affairs of the state forward and without conflict. Oh for more people thus prepared nowadays ....
.... Selfishly, I'd rather be out with my camera..... but I'm off to the first one...........
