What a day.......
Ok the plan of attack for today drive to port talbot fit new hubs to the boat trailer connect up brake system, then launch boat for a afternoon fishing.
Weather gods decided we were not fishing today, so we decide to still go down fit bits to trailer and fetch her home for some loving she been rather neglected the past six years and we hoping to get some cod fishing done in the upper channel.
a 9.30 pick up turns into 10am a 2 hour drive to Port talbot ( with a cheeky McDonald's for lunch) and we get to work soon get the new hubs fitted and brakes working with only minor blood loss for us both, boat prepped for towing home straps fitted, light board on Houston we have a problem connector pin for light board is different to car bollox boat unstripped and we decide to go back down next week with correct parts and bring home, leaving the boat yard Martin stalls the car as we nosing at other boats starts the car back up double bollox there a electrical fault on the car no dash lights no rev counter or speedo 50 minutes later the AA turn up looks over says mmmm strange for a new car (2010 c-max) AA guy says you have a pc at home, me aye , well when it plays up you give it a hard reboot well we going to do the same to the car, so I'm expecting some fancy machine to come out of the van nope a 13mm spanner and he disconnects the battery (was kinda disappointed ) but it worked car was happy and so was its owner Martin, got home at 18.30........
