A bird in the hand

We went to Drusillas zoo today courtesy of Tescos clubcard points - every little helps - and had what was undoubtedly the highlight of the holiday.
It was a lovely little zoo with a variety of animals, mainly of the smaller nature.
But there was so much to do to keep the children interested as they went round.
There were also 3 "walk-throughs" where we were able to go into the animal enclosures.
We went into one where you could buy pots of nectar and the birds would come and sit on you and drink it up. This is a picture of J doing this - S did it too but she didn't like it as the birds claws dug in. But I think J's face shows the enjoyment and facination we all felt.
