Hilltop View

A mixed day of sun and cloud with no wind.

Our friend arrived safely yesterday, so today a quick tour of our small Town and a visit to El Castillo Oropesa del Mar, Castellon and the old quarter.   Only small and being renovated it has held a strategic position overlooking the whole of the area.   It was conquered by historical figures such as El Cid (1090) and King James 1 (1233).   The main picture shows the old Church and the extra a view of the surrounding countryside.

We had a good amble about and then called and had lunch.   A walk out this evening along the prom will complete a lovely day.
