Clyde

The XXI Commonwealth Games opened in Gold Coast, Australia, today, bringing back memories of a wonderful time when the Games were in Glasgow four years ago. Loved every minute, including getting soaked in the city centre for several hours one Sunday watching the cycling Road Race go by.

There are still some legacies of the Glasgow Games in and around the city centre, including this wooden sculpture of 'Clyde', the Games' mascot, in Queen's Park. Seemed an appropriate day to pay him a visit, although I must admit I took a bit of inspiration from a blip by a fellow blipper a few days ago.
