Blackpool!

We had a family day out to see the Blackpool Illuminations so Carl can cross that one off of his list. I have to say it was a magical day! The weather was unseasonably warm, we all played on the beach and watched the sun set, so beautiful and peaceful. Then we walked around- looking at the lights, people watching and such. I loved the comedy carpet and these funny black things. The sunset and the lights gave the place kind of an enchanted glow and it was beautiful. The illuminations were lovely as well (I've never seen them before) and we had a doughnut to top it all off!

The sad part was that we couldn't bring granny with us. There was an unexpected problem with one of the seats in the car and the kids were excited to go and she said it would be ok to leave her behind but I still felt incredibly guilty.
