Off to Lincolnshire

Off to Cleethorpes in north east Lincolnshire for the wedding to Martin’s niece, Trudy to Tom tomorrow. The trip down from Edinburgh took four and a half hours but was rather nice particularly as the weather got warmer and sunnier the furthest south we got.

I must say that Cleethorpes is a pretty smart looking seaside resort.

Here’s the wonderful pier, which was recently refurbished and was named ‘Pier of the Year’ in 2016. The pier is home to Papa’s Fish and Chip shop, which is reportedly the largest fish and chip shop in the UK. I would think that the fish is super as Grimsby is just next door.
