Lost in the mists of time

Seeing this on the way to the station this morning dredged up some long dormant memory of a similarly named series from my childhood, either from Saturday morning cinema or perhaps something out of the Banana Splits. However, now I've looked it up on YouTube it seems that I remember nothing about it other than the title, and a deep voice melodramatically announcing it: "Lost.......in......SPACE!".
