Railway Sleepers

A breezy Day, but a bright morning and early afternoon.  Rain came in this afternoon, and gales picked up.

Day off work, and up early.  Elise has stayed over for the day, and she's been a great help around the house.  We set off done to mam's in the morning, and then spent the afternoon working in the garden.  Mam came back along, and when the rain started, we headed for a look at the garden centre.  A few plants bought!  I put Elise home after tea, and then mam and dad popped by for a cuppa, and a look the garden project.  Feet up for the night and fire on.

When we headed down to mam's, it wasn't just for a cuppa, it was also to collect some more railway sleepers.  The sleepers are being used as flower beds, cut up and tiered up the slope in the garden.  Starting to take shape now, and much quicker than building stone.  L-R - Peerie Brian, Elise, dad Peter and mam Pat.  Taken at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
