Oh, no blip photo!

I almost forgot to blip, and was settling down with a glass of wine and one of Jon’s Easter eggs, (which he donated to me - that’s true love) when I realised I hadn’t got a photo. So a hastily thrown together still life!

Today has been lots better than yesterday, not least because it’s Friday! There is no less work, but I didn’t succumb to a headache, had a nice walk at lunchtime and escaped at 4.15. A pleasant surprise greeted me on the top deck of the bus. As I sat down, oblivious to those around me, the person behind spoke to me. I turned round and was instantly delighted to see a fellow blipper, a blip friend GracieG. We met once last summer, when she visited me with her friend, another blipper, Bom. We went on a fruitless search for Barn Owls in Gresham, but had an enjoyable walk and chatted. Today, Gracie was on her way home after a day in Norwich with her husband. It was lovely to be recognised! I think it is the first time since moving, that I’ve bumped into someone I know! We chatted. Shared our favourite Cromer and Sheringham tea shops, and those we are less keen on. I left the bus feeling really happy. Thank you GracieG and M for making my regular boring bus ride home an enjoyable one!

I was home at not much after 5 and went out into the garden to see what was growing. I was pleased to see the hosta I moved looks like it is alive after all, so too the one donated by a work friend. I love this time of year when everything is starting to grow. I am yet to write a really good ‘Spring’ poem though, so maybe it is time to have another go. I planted some seeds in pots in my greenhouse, then after our pizza Jon and I did the shopping. Mollie goes back to Manchester tomorrow (sad face emoji) on the 8.57am train from Norwich, so the shopping bill has dropped a bit for next week.

Now I’m looking at my newly cut out top and trying to work out how to make it look pretty, and less like a sack! It’s a work in progress.

The photo is my nana from Norwich taken in 1990 when she was 90, and the original photo I took of The Laundry in Barford, where she grew up. I think she was living here during the 1st WW and the address of Riverside Cottage, Barford is registered in 1915 on the military records for her brother who died in action. She would have been 15. I think this must be Riverside Cottage. I found the photos at the weekend when I was up in the loft. Better they are down and we can see them.

Perhaps a bit more family history research tonight before bed.
