Also, this month’s project for the on-line camera club after night-time and frozen flowers - is triptychs. I can’t post the result as a Blip as, according to the rules, all elements have to be photographed the same day. So, while today’s element is the Blip, the final picture languishes as an extra. It was an interesting exercise, though I don’t see me doing it very often.
 
The general idea was to illustrate the normal Scottish climate of four seasons in one day, so it’s all a lie anyway: apart from there only being three, the series took just over a year to complete. Had it been planned before I started instead of just before taking the last, then the result might have been, if not better, then at least a little more co-ordinated. Perhaps a cross painted on the pavement so that they were shot from the same position, a note made of the focal length, as well as how the scene was framed. The other issue is that a vertical triptych, while having a certain appeal, doesn’t lend itself to the computer format. It may well end up as a project for a print.
