Ysbaddaden of Cwmcarn
The weather was wonderful today here in Wales. But this morning it was a few trips to the dump, starting my Mazda as the battery was flat, this is a fun car so it hasn't had a run out in 6 weeks and then some shopping, by the time this was finished we wanted a walk so grabbed the camera and headed to Cwmcarn
Here we stopped and had a lovely walk through the forest and across the streams, this is where you'll find the Giants court. The Giant's Court is named after Ysbaddaden Pencawr, king of the giants in the Arthurian legend Culhwch ac Olwen that is included in The Mabinogion (a famous collection of 11 medieval Welsh folk tales). You can see Ysbaddaden standing at the base of our natural amphitheatre where events are held.
Read all about Ysbaddaden I think you'll be surprised :-)
The cold has crept in, it was 5 degrees walking around the forest I have to get a new hat :-)
Don't forget to put your clocks back tonight
