April snows?

I think the weather gods have gotten it wrong- it's April showers ( although I do have 2 baby showers to go to this month- hmm is that what they meant??).
Woke up to it madly snowing this Am , but it was so wet it only resulted in an inch of snow. By 2pm it was pouring rain and the snow is now all gone. the snow did bring out a nice collection of birds, including 4 male cardinals who were busy trying to chase each other off. It also brought out some birds I have not seen much of this winter including 2 chickadees and a couple of titmice.
the extra is snow stuck to my spirea bushes.
