Congregation Beth Isreal

I went with Shelly to two services at the new Synagogue. The first was a Yiskor service, a memorial service. The second was family Shabbat service. There was a great deal of singing and a feeling of community and family. After the services there was a pot luck dinner. Shelly contributed a delicious sweet potato dish flavored with curry and cinnamon. I met many of Shelly’s friends and had a very good time.
