Smoking Road

After the astonishing match last night I didn't sleep very well and went out at 6am for a drive. It was pouring with rain and a sunrise was very doubtful.

Near junction 28 of The M4 at Newport (Wales, UK) on the A48 sliproad I was amused to see the road surface billowing 'smoke' across the carriageway. It looks like they'd been resurfacing the road during the night and the rain was hitting the hot surface causing steam. The major roadworks there have been going on for over a year.....it's nearing an end.

It must be the first roadworks photograph I like!
