Discovery

Discovery apples are my favourite, which is why I bought this delicious tapestry kit many (many!) years ago...

I started it, was enjoying it too, but found it hard to just sit quietly and stitch... so as time went on, one friend after another was invited to do a bit! But it grew so slowly... and sadly I had not the patience to finish it, so it lay (ripening?) in my cupboard until last year, when I finally let it go... to my VERY talented sister-in-law.
I was happy, it could not have found a better home, and I knew she would enjoy finishing it.

What I DIDN'T expect, was the large soft square parcel I received on my birthday... yes, it was my apple!! Beautifully finished and filled, ready for our sofa, where it now sits happily ever after!
