Spring time buds

Looking in the garden for a blip I saw that the buds of a small Maple tree are beginning to unfurl.  

Its definitely time for gardening now so I also headed down to the allotment, at last, to do some weeding and prepare the ground for the potatoes.  Purple sprouting broccoli was picked along with some leeks and the first of the rhubarb.  We had a rhubarb and ginger crumble for tea, very nice.

Our son moved into his new room in a shared house today after all the last minute hassles yesterday.  Great that he is now comfortably sorted and enjoying his new job.
