60th Bonfire Society Anniversary

The day has come and the 60th Annual Bonfire and carnival has not long finished. We watched from our apartment as usual, but this year the older grandchildren also went down to the fun fair on the beach before coming back upstairs to watch the fun. The bonfire was enormous and lit well. It will burn through the night. The fireworks set up on the beach were stupendous and seemed to go on forever. Now one of our families has gone home and the other is bedding down for the night. Tomorrow they will be gone too and it will be quiet again.
