Farrier at Work

What, from the weather forecast, was supposed to be a thoroughly filthy day turned to be one of the warmest of the year in this part of the country.  It did rain, but no where near as much as had been forecast.  Delaying the visit to the stables proved fortuitous as the farrier was at work on one of the other horses as we turned up.

It was interesting to watch him at work.  These days operating from a van, rather than the need for a forge and anvil to work the horseshoes into shape.
