Riding the Rocket
Ah. Toronto on a rainy evening. What better place to be than King Street, awaiting the arrival of one of the Red Rockets, mainstay of the city's ubiquitous transit system.
Our subways may be crap compared to the world's great cities, but most of those places have nothing that compares with our Rockets. Of course, if one breaks down, the whole system becomes a congested mess; and, believe me, there is no sight more daunting than 10 streetcars in a row, all unable to move, especially if you happen to be in a rush . . . and in the rain (or snow) . . .
Not tonight, though . . .
