The 2 Border Collies...

These two boys did well yesterday, but it was a very long day and I am glad we have no big plans for today. 

Hero competed in advanced the canine freestyle class and the biggest mistake in his routine, was when I panicked and called him up from a down instead of asking him to creep forward. It took a few seconds and then we were back on track and it was a really good performance. I am very pleased with him and he won the class. 

Gollum peformed in the advanced Heelwork To Music class for the 2nd time and he did even better than last time. The first half of the routine was flawless. It was fantastic. Then it became a little difficult for him and we had some not quite parallel heelwork positions. Gollum is young and still learning the difficult advanced stuff, so I am very very happy.  He placed 4th in the class just after his mummy Jazz, who placed 3rd.

We were indoors at a dog sports venue all day yesterday. Today we made up for it with a lovely walk through the woods, over the fields to the lake. It was wonderful and I think the dogs enjoyed just to be dogs and not dancing partners today. 


I am planning to spend as much time outdoors as possible today - I need to sunshine :-)

Edit at 6.30 pm: Helle rang at about 3 pm and we decided to meet and go for a walk with all of our dogs. We walked through the woods to the Pancake House, where we had pancakes and a drink before walking back to the car. It was fabulous. The best way to spend the afternoon. See the extra picture.
