Whixall Moss
A dry day so this afternoon we went for a walk on Whixall Moss. Lots of the trees had been chopped down since our last visit (silver birch needs to be kept under control while keeping enough for the birds and insects). There were also large areas of floods and places where we normally walk under water.
There wasn't much wildlife around but we did see a pair of curlews, a pair of great spotted woodpeckers and a kestrel.
