Skunk cabbage is a perennial wildflower that grows in swampy land. It gives of the smell of skunk or rotting meat if the leaves are crushed or bruised.
It does attract bees, butterflies and beneficial insects but for humans, cats and dogs a few bites can cause swelling of the mouth and choking.Large amounts can be fatal
