River walking

First proper games game drive and a lie in as it was a 6am start. We were woken when the tea and coffee was brought to the tent.
Left the camp and went over to the Mara River to see if we could see the wilder beast crossing. On the way over we saw some Zebra, herds of Wilder beast and some Ostrich.
While we were driving the crossing started. An AMZING site to see the wilder beast jumping in and swimming across the river. I never realised that they cross the river in both directions and numerous times each year. The wilder beast will follow the rains so if it rains on the other side of the river to them they will cross back over again to get to the better grazing. While we were there they crossed over 3 times. This is mainly due to the mothers going back across if they can't find their calves.
One of the wilder beast hurt its leg during the crossing and couldn't make it up the other side. While we were there it eventually drowned and was taken by the crocodiles that were waiting in the river. The crocs were huge, a good 3-4 metres in length.
There were also hippos walking up the river against the current. Didn't realise that they walked so quickly in the water. There was a baby hippo that walked along behind its mother in her wake.
After a few hours we went out into the bush for breakfast in front of a herd of wilder beast. Breakfast was cold sausages, bacon, water melon and pancakes with fresh coffee.
We then went of a drive in the park and found a herd of buffalo and some elephants. More barcodes and lots of more wilder beast.
Next were a couple of Cheetah who we followed for a while as they got easily spooked by the jeeps. They were going from tree to tree to keep in the shade and rest for some hunting later in the day
Started to feel a bit of sun stroke and had to close my eyes for a while in the afternoon while we travelled around.
On the way back we saw a bull elephant.

Barcodes by the camp, Ostriches, Wilder beast crossing, 3 Crocodiles, Hippos, Secretary birds, Elephants with babies, Dik Dik, Mongoose, Bee Eater birds, giraffes, black head Ibis, Antelope, Cheaters, spotted Hyena, Baboons, Topi, Elam, Vultures.
Had dinner and went back to the room early as I was not feeling well. J went to the toilet and can running out as it turned out we were sharing the bathroom part of the tent with a bush babies. Everyone came to have a look at what was in the tent but couldn't find it. We saw it again in the night when we went to the toilet. Very cute and looked like a large mouse with a tail of a squirrel.
