Mums

Such a pretty border. Wish it were mine. It has reminded me, though, to plant some mesembryanthemums (or ‘mums’ as my mother used to call them) this year, as I have always loved them. I got my first one as a child visiting the Chelsea Flower Show with my mum, where a grower was so impressed that this youngster knew the name of his pretty plants that he gave me one to take home. A happy memory on a grey day.
