UKD Seahorse...
...seeing to the bottom in Lowestoft Harbour.
Another dull and drizzly day! We were up and out quite early for a trip to Lowestoft, my Mum had a hospital appointment and needed to get there and some support... Happily the outcome while not the very best you could want, was not too bad either. There will be a few more trips to hospital over the next few months to monitor her condition, but as the nurse said, at 85 she's doing pretty well...
This photo was taken from the carpark at ASDA, UKD Seahorse is a 25 metre Multicat designed specifically by Damen Shipyards for UK Dredging. She is specified to provide multi-purpose dredging support with bed-levelling, buoy handling and survey capability. Driven by 2 x 477 KW Cummins engines she is also configured to run a submersible dredging pump and auger that will be suspended from a specially adapted marine crane.
Interesting to watch how these things are done...
