So it begins....

A day of cattle work.
This is the first of my spring calvers to calve , M23. Last year she calved on the 10th April so she is consistent !
Brian from Border Livestock was in this morning to look at some heifers that are for sale. He also spotted the 19 blks I had booked for the sale on Thursday. The upshot was he has sold them for me so they aren't going to St Boswells now. The commission rate is 2.5% instead of 3.95 and the buyer pays the £15/head haulage so I think they are alright at the agreed price.
A quick run into town tonight to pick Junior up from school, just to remind me how normal folk live !
