Reasons Not to Feed Sea Birds

When I went to Home Depot today, these birds (and many more) were in the parking lot at least 8 blocks from the ocean.  When I decided to take the photo, I droves slowly to the right of them, hoping not to disturb them.  After lowering the car window to use my camera, I realized they thought I was going to feed them. The one in flight near the center looked as if he was heading directly for the opened auto window.  The extra shows a few of them directly beside the car.  Sad to me they can't get enough to eat on the beach, or perhaps they are used to being fed in parking lots.
