Baby Badgers
Sarah and I transported 2 orphaned baby badgers from the local wildlife rescue to the one in Whitby today. We also took 3 baby squirrels as you can't keep them without a licence - 2 of them were acquired by meeting up just off the M1 with a very kind man who had driven up from Sheffield with them in a cardboard box
They will need intensive hand feeding for a while but all being well they should be able to be released. What an absolute privilege it was to be able to cuddle a baby badger - although they were hosting a fair few fleas so I have scratted all the way to Whitby and back.
We stopped for fish and chips of course. It's the law. And the drive would have been very scenic were it not for the pea souper.
