Water Measurer

When I was a tadpole I sent at lot of time looking at illustrated natural history books, and nearly as long messing around on the edges of ponds. For reasons I don't understand, the Water Measurer captured my imagination, but I never found one. Fifty years on, I've found one, and I knew instantly what it was as soon as I saw it. A childhood well spent I think.
