Staircase

Had a meeting at Clackmannanshire Council's offices at Kilncraigs in Alloa today.   It is a really interesting building which dates from 1814 and is all that remains of the huge Kilncraigs wool-spinning mill which in its heyday employed thousands of people.  The building was restored and converted for Clackmannanshire council with a striking full height glass wall and atrium encasing the original front.  The staircase in the blip  goes the full height of atrium and is a striking mixture of glass, metal and lovely weathered wood.  That's today's history lesson - have the rest of the day off :-))
