Pushy
We slept over at our friends' house so the day started with breakfast (pancakes!) and more playing with LittleL.
Then we all headed out to Chester Zoo where we managed an impressive five hour stint. Unexpectedly it was beautiful t-shirt weather! Unlike our zoo this zoo has giraffes and alligators and a boat ride. There was lunch and playing on a park. For CyclopsJnr the highlight was a dark tunnel full of bats flying about. He LOVES bats. He was slightly nervous of the darkness but so interested. He even spontaneously asked the zookeeper a question (what do the bats have for breakfast?).
The boys took turns on this scooter seat thingie if they were tired, and CyclopsJnr enjoyed pushing it too.
The visit with LittleL was declared a great success with the boys behaving well and getting on beautifully.
Home time. We meandered up the M6 stopping at Tebay services for an ice cream, then swinging by Argos in Carlisle to buy CyclopsJnr a transformer that transforms for a treat. He was thrilled so that kept him occupied for a bit. We tried to stop for dinner at a services but they were not serving food as their fryer was broken!!! Had chips in Moffat instead. Home about 9.30pm.
A lovely trip throughout.
